Syncing google contacts, calendar with ipad

Yes. I have my Google contacts, calendar, and email all sync'd to my iPad and iPhone. Works beautifully.
Follow the instructions below. This is what I do. If you set up your gmail account as an exchange you get full sync of calendars, contacts and email. Be sure to turn off sync from your address book to your mac. Also, be sure to go into your prefs in Address Book and iCal and set up sync with Google. That way your Droid (that's what I have too), iPad and computer will all be in sync wirelessly.

Also, I'm only on day two of my shinny new iPad, but after I did the Exchange Gmail connect option, I didn't notice if all my Google calendars were available on the Calendar button inside the iPad Calendar app. However, after I setup the Google Gmail account with the Exchange Gmail connect option, I followed the next procedure and went to 'm.google.com' on my iPad and selected the Sync icon which brought up a list of 'Managed Devices' which had my iPad listed. So, I selected my iPad and that allowed me to add all of my other Google calendars, including shared and read only calendars, to sync with my iPad.
My question is, why isn't this available natively inside the iPad calendar app after setting up the Exchange Gmail connect option?
Anyway, this is especially useful since I subscribe to the NFL shared calendars for my favorite teams. The bonus is that it maintains the Google calendar colors in my iPad calendar which I didn't expect.

Alright so I set it up and it keeps asking for my password...I type it in and it says it's incorrect. Help?

Is your username correct? Might needs the @gmail.com at the end.
On the link: 9a should say accept and not cancel; cancel works on iphone, for some reason when I hit cancel it won't work on iPad but when I hit accept it works flawlessly.
Yeah just tried that...worked. Not sure why it showed "googlemail" in the guide...I've never used "@googlemail" before..
Because not all gmail accounts end in @gmail.com. They just made it a generic domain name
You don't need to force syncs on Android phones with Google contacts. Just create the contact on the phone or in the Google mail Contacts and let the sync work on its own. I have never had a contact get deleted from either side when doing this.
You also have to make sure that the contact is going into the correct group. There's a lot of information on how Google contact groups work on the Google help pages.
