Syncing iLife libraries from iMac to MB

Just purchased a MB and have an iMac. I'd like to synch my iTunes and iPhoto libs from my iMac to my MB. I know how to copy the libraries over, but after I've done that once, is there a way to keep both in synch with each other? If not, is there a way to make the iMac the "main" library, and treat the MB like a giant iPod (i.e. pushing changes to the MB).

I'd like to avoid putting my library on an external drive and pulling everything from there. I need a second copy off the MB because (of course) I need the portability.

I'd love it if this sync could be automated and/or done over my home network (instead of cabling the two).

Any ideas?
