syncing iPad pro 2018 with imac

Hello guys I have a iMac 2014 with all my dad on there i am trying to upload all my music, photos etc to my new iPad.

I have the USB - C to USB connector and i have connected it to the USB wire into the iMac but its not taking the iPad.

Please suggest.

Most likely iTunes needs to be updated. Is the iPad at least charging?

Make sure you are running the latest OS and iTunes version. Then it shouldn’t be an issue, new pros sync just like and old iPad.

well its up to date and no its not charging from the iMac but it will charge from the wall. Also I am using a USB C to USB adaptor with a reg USB cable in between the adaptor and the iMAC

Try a different cable maybe to see if that makes a difference. Does the iPad show up on other computers in iTunes if not on this one?

If everything fails call Apple for support.

When you connect it you will receive and option to update iTunes to support the new iPad, if connected correctly.
