Syncing MM with MBP

Is there a way I can sync new info back and forth?

Ideally I'd like the new info added to Word documents, .rtf docs, new photo's in iPhoto/Aperture and new iTunes media to update on each computer.

Will Carbon Copy Cloner do this over Bluetooth or a Ethernet cable? If not will any other program?

Well, there is Dropbox and rsync to start with...

CCC via an Ethernet cable or wireless LAN connection will do. Also have a look at ChronoSync, it might be more convenient for your case.

i quite like chronosync. CCC is nice for backups, but not so amazing for bi-directional sync.. Chrono on the other hand is like magic

Thanks for the info guys. I was looking at Chronosync and it looks like it will do everything I want it to.

It even has the capability to sync to an external hard drive that I can use between the two computers, you just have to pay for the program on each computer....

as mentioned in an earlier post "DropBbox", it works instantly for live real time syncing, and it is free.
Also download the free app 'MacDropAny', this simplifies the set up for syncing.
Once set up your syncs are totally invisible and require no further action on your part.
And did I mention, this is all for Free?

Sure, and then you are stuck with a) limited "free" disk space. and b) (if you are one to care) all the privacy concerns of someone else storing your data... not for me, thank you very much!

The only legit concern (in my mind) is the disk space. But that can be averted by not setting up Dropbox to make a folder on your computer and keeping the data entirely in the cloud. The privacy concern is really overblown (in my mind). I don't know what most people keep in their Dropbox, but I am willing to bet that no one is going to steal it and if they do they won't be able to do much with it.

I use Dropbox (up to a free 5GB) for docs and Photostream via iCloud for new photos.

Both work pretty seamlessly and let me sync across an MBP, iMac (at work) and MM (at home).
