Syncing music to iPhone, am I missing something obvious?????

Hi All,

Apologies if this has already been covered or im posting in the wrong section but im really baffled!

I just took the plunge and updated to catalina. I have my full library setup in the music app and connected my iphone to do the first sync.

Here's where the problem starts. I can see my iphone, and have selected just to sync certain music (i have a huge library).

In the music section of the sync screen, I can see "artists, albums, genres or playlists" here is the big problem......

I cant see any additional sorting options under these headings???? is there a way to see artist and album in the same view??

I really dont want to have to sync a whole artist back catalogue (artist view) or try to remember the name of every single album that they recorded so i can find it in the album view.

I must be missing something, surely....HELP!

Is your window small? Try expanding it.

I use Playlists for this type of thing.

I gave up on the Music app/iTunes long ago. I use iMazing, the easiest way to copy music to my iPhone, just drag and drop and you're doe.
