I keep getting this same message every time I check the box to sync my new ringtones. The first time I (successfully) added ringtones, all my music was deleted in the process just as the message warns. I manually manage my songs, so I'm not sure where to go from here.

I feel like there's a blatantly clear answer out there, and I'm just too dense to figure it out. Help for a newbie? :(

Did you sync your music from another computer? You can only sync your phone with one iTunes library, I would expect this is the problem.

First and only computer I've ever used for this iPhone. :/

Weird. You have the latest version of iTunes, right?

Also, if you sync ringtones, does it actually erase everything else? And once it does that, can you sync music afterwards?

Latest version, yup. The last time I tried to add ringtones, it deleted all my music and movies. It did allow me to add the tones, and my music back, but I'd prefer not to use that method unless there's absolutely no alternative.... in which case I'd probably do without the tones.

Photos and apps are set up to sync with no troubles. It's the ring tones that are eluding me.

:(

I found the sync process to be a bit out of ordinary at times, therefore I've only tried to "manually sync" music/videos. Then again last sync I did it didn't acknowledge my settings and deleted my songs, but not the movies, go figure.

iTunes is def. a tad buggy.
