Syncing Notes

I want to sync my Notes with iTunes but I can't find that option http://cl.ly/image/1w2r3P0S0o40 I'm running Mountain Lion.

Also, how can i transfer my old notes to sync over the cloud without copying them one by one.

I have trying to find a way to sync local notes on my iPhone (ie those from my pc prior to icloud) to iCloud for ages. It seems to be very selective what it syncs. I can't get it to work. Seems it'll only sync those created after the advent of iCloud
