Syncing Outlook Defaults

Has anyone figured out a fix or work around to apples ignorance or plain arrogance (not sure which yet)?? Why on earth would you design icloud to not be the default calender or task list in outlook? Its one of the biggest reasons I bought an iphone! So I can sync Outlook at home and work with my phone. I don't want to have to enter everything in to outlook and then move it to another calender or task list every time and then not have outlook be able to use it.

I used Outlook with MobileMe and I believe you could tell the MM Control Panel which Outlook Calendar to Sync with. I would think you do that with the iCloud Control Panel. Maybe not.

You should work for Apple. This would have been the smart thing Apple could have done. But no. It doesn't.

Its actually like Apple purposefully limited the integration with Outlook. Advertised that it did integrate and then when people realized it doesn't really integrate they say you need an iMac and iWork to use it properly.

Since I have switched to Lion my Outlook has stopped syncing with my contacts in address book.

I have the exact same issue. Neither Entourage 2008 or Outlook 2011 (which I use for email and calendaring) will sync with ical...which in turn prevents me from syncing my calendar to either my iPhone or even the icloud.
