Syncing photos from Mac to iPhone fail

I've been trying to sync my photos and videos on my Mac with my iphone. It looks like it works with free memory going down but as soon as I press Sync, it goes through all the 6 steps but doesn't do it...I restarted, reset and tried multiple different options but it's still the same pictures that stay on the phone?

What can I do here?

Yeah through iTunes, normal route that worked before.

Have you tried unchecking "sync photos". Hit apply/sync. Quit iTunes, restart phone. Recheck sync photos and hit apply?

I've had similar issues in the past with syncing and removing everything photo related and started fresh worked.
