How do you sync your photos library to your iPad Pro without chaos?

I keep my photos on my rMBP and always upload to the rMBP from the iPhone and camera and iPad. How do i keep the exact same photo library on the iPad pro?

Is it best to use icloud photo library or itunes when your library is very big?

Is there a way to have your memories and faces sync too? Or does each device have to make its unique memories/ faces?

Sometimes when i try to sync them when i connect my ipad or iphone to my macbook pro and open photos, old photos show up in the import section as if they are new ones! It started when i started to use icloud photo library but has persisted even after turning it off.

How do you manage your photos library across devices?

If you have enough iCloud storage then that’s the best way to handle your photo library. You can manage it from any device and it is propagated to every other device in the same way.

A few months ago my iCloud photos library was a real mess.

It took me a lot of messing around as the settings were all over the place (all my own fault)

I now have 8000 photos in the cloud all synced between my phone, iPad, Mac and TV. I wish I had done it a long time ago.

I have 100,000 photos synced in iCloud and I have not been having a problem. :) Definitely the easiest if you are in an all apple ecosystem.

google photos is my main app (17gb free). everything’s automatic, easy to access and browse. i also pay 99c/month for 50gb icloud as backup. can’t say how good icloud is because i haven’t had to use it yet.

iCloud is awesome if you live within the Apple ecosystem.
