I got a new Mac mini. Thought I was set up, but some pictures on my iPhone are not syncing to my Mac mini. Some of are relatives that have passed so I want to keep them. I tried going into my photos and iPhone but the pictures are not there. They are in an album on my iPhone. I tried to sync but then it deleted my albums that were synced from my old Mac mini. Glad I took screenshots of some before. Is there anyway to get the old ones back?

No - when you sync via USB to a new computer, any photos synced from a different computer are removed. Photos from your old Mac mini should have been transferred via Migration Assistant to the new one, so that you can re-select them to sync on the new one… if that didn’t happen for whatever reason, then you’re out of luck.
