Syncing playlists question

Hello there.

So, i joined the Apple Music and i'm wondering if i can't sync playlists like the way it was before Apple Music.

I mean, before Apple Music, i would build a playlist on my computer, then on iTunes i would choose what playlist to sync and he would copy all songs to my iPhone.
Now i create a playlist and then i have to download the songs manually on the iPhone, even if the songs are on my computer. Sure the playlist shows there immediately, but the songs are on streaming mode and not physically there.

Anyway to do the previous way?

Just a pratical example of where this syncing method can be a pain in the ***, my GF is a fitness instructor and she has some fitness group programs like Zumba or Body Attack or whatever. She receives music and choreography materials from the programs and they come in a form of DVD's and CD's. With a crap Internet uploading a ripped CD can take several minutes or even hours, so every time she receives new material, she has to wait a load of time that everything is on the iCloud before she can sync to her iPhone that she uses on classes and when training. Previously she would just rip the CD's, import them to her library and either directly sync them or add them to a playlist and sync the playlist.

When you make a Playlist on your Mac it will be mirrored on your iPhone. On your iPhone you then download the entire Playlist (not each song) with 2 clicks. Click the 3 ellipse (...) and then Make Available Offline and you are ready to go.

Unfortunately there is no way to 'manually' move music. It is possibly due in part to licensing agreements with content companies. They probably don't allow anyway to directly copy the file.

As of today my iPhone will no longer sync with my iTunes Library, all I need "Music" for is listening to my ripped cd's but apparently I'm no longer allowed to.

Wish I could get rid of the bloated monstrosity called "Music".

The problem with that approach is that, the musics you have that are not on iTunes need to be uploaded so you can sync with an iDevice... And with a crappy upload speed that can be troublesome. Plus, licensing shouldn't have nothing to do with my songs that i ripped from my cd's... Those are the ones that i would like to directly copy from my computer. My GF example is great on that. She pays a fee monthly to several fitness programs so she can have music material. Most of the times those musics are unique and not available on iTunes, so that means that she has to plan at least 1 hour per cd before she can sync with her iPhone her songs.

I agree and appreciate her situation. It would likely be confusing and more complicated (anti-Apple) for the vast majority to make ripped music available directly but only a download for Apple Music. I have almost all my music ripped in ALAC and would love to have that on my iPhone with Apple Music. However I understand the complications this could cause.
