Syncing Safari with MacBook?

Since upgrading to iOS 14 my iPhone 7 isn't showing the websites that are open on my MacBook.
Before, when using Safari on my iPhone I would tap the multi page icon in the bottom right of the phone screen and this would reveal the websites that are open on my MacBook, but now they don't appear.

Any suggestions please?
Is this an issue with iCloud, my MacBook or my iPhone 7?

No, surely bluetooth isn't needed, never needed it before. I assumed it worked via iCloud?

I recall it used to work without bluetooth, but now I need bluetooth to be enabled.

I could leave a few websites open on my MacBook at home, and then wherever I went with my phone I could see which websites were on my MacBook, even if my MacBook lid was closed. Now I can't.
