HI there,

I recently got my new iphone whilst I was at my boyfriend's house. In my hurry and excitement to get using it, I downloaded itunes on his computer and connected it. I now can't get it to work with my itunes and as I don't even live in the same town as my boyfriend, this is more than annoying! Any help please would be fantastic.

Also, I would like to get my email working on my phone. This would be under "other" as I have my own website and therefore address from that. However many variations I try whilst setting up my email on my phone, I can't get it to work. I'm not very techy so am literally about to bang my head against a wall. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help before I lose my mind and cry.

Big thank you....any help is appreciated.

Thanks for getting in touch...

Basically, when I plug it into my computer it recognises the phone as a camera...and that's it. There's no message about syncing it and whatever I do seems to make no difference. I therefore can't download any music onto it and can't sync up my email that way etc.

As for email, I have no idea what my outgoing server would be on the iphone - i know what it is at home with my broadband connection etc but can't seem to get it working on my phone.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you in advance....

Also go into your iTunes and make sure that it is configured to automatically sync iPhones. It can be shut off. Your computer is seeing the iPhone. Open iTunes and see if you see it there.

The Sync Saga - The Ultimate Iphone 3G Problem

I can accept and deal with almost anything the new iphone has to dish out except for this one thing.

I am on my 3rd iphone replacement. I am now scared to death to sync and back up.

It appears that aside from taking several hours to do this function each time, the iphone can sometimes get stuck and not able to recover at all. I mean you can reboot it to no end and still no solution. You can see the Apple Logo, but that is all you will get. My computer cannot see the iphone plug in except for the moment I unplug it because it paralyzes my computer after about 2 minutes of plugging in the now white 16 gig brick, it show up in itunes for a split second. The disappears as would be expected since I had just unplugged it. No matter how many times and approaches, I cannot Restore, I cannot restart, reset at all. I have had to go to to the Apple store where they simply give up and give me a new one.

Even better news, I also have a Ipod Touch 16gig and it turns out, it has now become the latest victim of the itunes saga. Stay tuned for more.
