I saw this on another thread but does the iPad really need to be synced through itunes?:confused:


If so then wow this will fail. I was rooting for it but that is a huge disadvantage for many consumers.
 
I don't see why it would 'have' to be synced.

I'm assuming you could buy it and start using it without connecting it to another computer.

You can download music and movies through itunes app, apps through the app store, books through the ibook store, and even import photos with the camera adapter. So I don't see why you couldn't simply use it without ever syncing it to another computer.

Yes it does for backups, to get music on it, etc. Unless you buy everything from iTunes.

Man they really should have altered the iPhone OS on this. Very poor decision.
 
Technically, I don't think it wouldn't have to be sync'd. You could start fresh and buy all your media off iTunes. But I think you would have a tough time relying on this device by itself.
