synergy alternative

Hello guys,
I"m using a PC computer and a MacBook Air 2020 for my work and university. I have a wireless Razer mouse that allowed me to change between 2.4 connection and BT connection. My problem its with the keyboard with wire connection directly to my PC, when I want use the keyboard on my MacBook I need to take out the USB connection from the PC to the MacBook and its very annoying.
On some YouTube channel I saw recommendation for "synergy App" both for the PC and the MacBook. Link- https://symless.com/synergy
The price its too much for me (29$), and this is the reason I'm asking you guys for some alternative app.
I do not mind paying some money either, if it pays off for me but not such a high amount.

Synergy Core is free and does what you want. Can't recall off the top of my head what the paid version gives you that the free one does not... There's also Barrier which is a fork of Synergy Core and seems to be more actively developed. Check them out

You are the best!, But can you explain me how I can download the files for Windows and Mac? I'm never use github.

What part of that do you need help with? Are you just asking how to download the zip file or what to do with it once you have it?

I just downloaded it, unzipped it, and took a look at the README.md in the root of the files that were expanded. It's clear from what you get and the README.md, you'll have to build the software yourself. I own the commercial version of the software, so I've never had to build core.

Since you mentioned MacOS and Windows, I suspect that you're using GitHub's desktop client. I don't use that on either platform. Just navigate in a browser to the link posted by @kreisys

https://github.com/symless/synergy-core

and click on the "Code" button; it's found on the right, just above the file listing. This will open a drop-down offering the option to "Download ZIP".
