I've been trying to solve a weird problem with my Synology Diskstation (DS211 running DSM 5.2) with files copied from a CD.
My wife tried to copy files from a CD the a folder on the Diskstation (she has admin rights). The files and folders copied over but the folders are showing greyed out while the files at the same level are accessible. The greyed out folders show no matter whether she or I am signed in from either her iMac or my MBP. However, using the DS File app on our iPads shows all the folders and files in them just fine. Connecting to the Diskstation via Safari and using File Station also shows all the files just fine. Even though the folders are greyed out, I can still delete them and recopy them from either the CD or a copy made on my desktop. The new copies also are greyed out.
If I manually create the folders on the Diskstation and copy just the files over but not the folders, everything is normally accessible. Checking permissions via Terminal shows all with rwx permissions.
I'm stumped. Any ideas?
