Hi all, I'm looking forward to updating to Catalina, but I need to make sure that it plays nice with my (Synology) NAS. Has anyone experienced any issues or quirks with their NAS' since on the beta? Apple does some funky under-the-hood stuff from release to release sometimes. Thanks!

Time Machine backups to Synology work fine, afp and smb both work fine, Carbon Copy Cloner to a sparse bundle on the NAS works fine.

Do not use AFP, performance is abysmal. Strictly SMB only. Similar to Mojave and poor performance there when using SMB.

If you were using AFP, it may be worth checking all inherited file permissions and also looking for disallowed characters in file paths before switching the SMB.
