This is the biggest thing about iPads for me.. I am getting one for class, but I am hoping to see some serious synthesizers... Has any one heard anything? Thought I saw a Piano Lessons app.. Im sure I am not the only one who has considered synths amazing for the iPad... Im really hoping there is some seriously professional stuff, not to mention LOGIC!

This is what I'm most excited for. I'm hoping for some good sequencers/drum machine type apps like Beat Maker for iPhone.

Maybe Ableton Live? Someone could even do a Monome app that would probably be cooler than the real thing.

Yes! Same feelings here...

Beat Maker was a huge waste of 20 bux IMO... sure some talented people made some good songs, but it was just not that interesting... maybe they have added more samples, I got it for my 1G touch like in 08...

Im not a big fan of Ableton Live, if you can't plug it into Logic than I am not interested, I know that 'some live musicians rely on it for their sets' etc.. :apple: makes Logic though, so you know they could make a badass controller! Thats what I'm really hoping for.. Im wondering how the iPad will handle the the difference between hardware synths and software synths (hardware synths are said to be the best of the best sound wise).

Really can't wait to pick up a midi controller for my guitar and plug it into my iPad!

edit: Keep in mind there is no multi-tasking, ALTHOUGH I thought I was reading some rumor about the iPad having multi-tasking...

Im hoping that someone will be smart enough to put out a Kaoss Pad app around launch..

garageband on iPad FTW

Garageband sux lol... although I can see the appeal to widespread audiences.. if you ever want to do anything serious though, Garageband is annoying IMO, I think Fallout Boy might use it or something

Ableton Live is awesome!!!

I'm going to use my 'Pad to control live.

are u just wishing or do you have any info?

Im sure there will be lots of interest though...

its a giant Kaoss pad like i said

Beatmaker just released an update that apparently makes it compatible with iPad. Probably a universal binary. I imagine this will be much more useful on iPad.

I joined this forum due to this single thread :)

I'm really excited about the possibilities of synthesis and groove boxes on ipad.
The beatmaker creaters have already confirmed that they are working on a ipad version of beatmaker. It should be pretty awesome.
I've also heard rumour that Reason (from Propellerheads) is coming to ipad in some form or other. Once again a awesome app.

And check out this controller interface for you DAW. Looks amazing and will have an introductory price of $9.99.
