iPhone “System Customization” under System Services Menu

Should this be disabled under the Privacy > System Preferences sub menu? Most of these useless things in that setting menu such as location based iAds etc have been disabled on my iPhone for many years but I just noticed this new one as soon as I updated to iOS 13 called System Customization, Do we know what that setting check location for exactly?

System Customization: Your iPhone will customize system appearance, behaviors, and settings using your current location, for example by automatically enabling Smart Charging when you are at home. This customization data does not leave your device.

I don't remember noticing that item on iOS 12, but maybe just never noticed, or it's just new in 13...

It certainly appears to be new for iOS13, I disabled it regardless. Thank you. It’s not related to the new Optimized Battery Charging Feature of iOS 13 right? (I wouldn’t want it to affect that feature negatively in any way because I disabled “System customization”

I noticed that “Compass Calibration” is constantly purple in that system services menu, is that normal?

from the bottom of your Location Services screen:

A purple arrow indicates that an item has recently used your location.

I suspect that the compass takes some time to know where you are, and would respond whenever you change directions (hey, waddyaknow, the main purpose for a compass )

My compass reports the orientation of my iPhone compared to local level, the location coordinates to the arc-second, city, and current elevation.
I am thinking that your compass likely works much better (if at all) if it gets that location info, and might be worthwhile leaving compass location info turned on.
