I have an 8+ running 11.2.1 on AT&T. Since I got it two months ago my cellular data usage has been very high which makes no sense as I use the phone the same as my old 7+, mostly on wifi. Under Settings - Cellular I reset my data usage a week ago when my monthly bill restarted and System Services is already at 469 MB, of which 427 MB is DNS Services. This is out of total data usage of 881 MB in the last week - that is, DNS Services accounted for half of all my cellular data in one week. This makes no sense.

Does anyone know how to get DNS Services to stop using so much data?

You might have an app that is going haywire. Try killing all apps and then monitoring usage.

Also turning off background app refresh might be good.

And also perhaps "Reset Network settings"

I'd try killing all apps first.
