So I got the following message a few moments ago. Something I've never had before. After seeing it I checked my iStat menu in dashboard to find my memory swap showing 65GB. Now it says 2GB and I didn't quit any apps. Why would it show this? Also I routinely seem to have to restart my Mac as I regularly hit ~8GB memory swap after a fresh restart.

Open Activity Monitor (Applications/Utilities) and see what is hogging your memory.
Apparently Mail can sometimes be the culprit.

Well Safari and Mail are the top two in that order. Safari is a huge memory hog. I don't know why Apple never fixed that. Granted I do have lots of tabs open so that likely not helping.
