I'm just wondering if the password to the system keychain is supposed to be something you know or what.. It doesn't seem to be the pass to my admin account. I accidently logged off my wireless and had to go get the stupid password because I could unlock my system keychain to get access to the password where it had been stored..

It should be the first password that you gave for the first account that you made on the computer, which should have been an administrative user.

mersea - did you ever find an answer to this? I'm having the same issue with the System keychain...it's not my admin password. I've tried everything.

just to clarify: I can unlock the keychain itself (with my admin password). But when I try to "Show Password" for an item within the System keychain I can't.
