Battery in my 2012 air is almost dead, so I'm wondering about replacing it. But nowadays when I disconnect charger and battery is almost discharged, system slows down a lot, sometimes freezes for a while. I think it has something to do with low power, so processor is maybe switched to some saving mode (disconnect cores?). Are my assumptions right? Will battery replacement (and fan cleaning) help with solving this issue?
