System Preferences Error

Hey guys. After removing the unsuccessfully installed waves 14 audio plugins of the latest version and then rebooting, the program icons in the tray appeared after about ten minutes and I noticed that the sound icon was crossed out. Going into the system settings and clicking on the sound icon, I received a message „ Preferences Error Could not load Sound preferences pane. “ going into the settings in the Security & Privacy tab, I saw a message System software from developer "Waves Inc" was blocked from loading.



But when I try to allow access, the system settings hang and give an error



I would be immensely grateful for any help because I'm scared to imagine having to do a clean install with tons of plugins and programs.

I know this is 6 months late, but I had the same problem and fixed it by deleting these two files:

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.waves.daemon.SoundGrid.DawNodeService.plist

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.waves.daemon.SoundGrid.Protocol.plist

You have to allow the kext to be loaded.

I'm glad you found this helpful! I was able to install waves 14 after doing a search for and deleting anything SoundGrid related through a program called Find Any File. No messing with Kexts needed.

Thanks for you response. I've just downloaded it and deleted soundgrid leftovers and will try to install waves again. Just to clarify, you deleted everything soundgrid related before installing waves14?
