System Preferences reminder is annoying!

I have absolutely no intention of "upgrading" to Catalina in the foreseeable future, eg no sooner than 6 months or more from now. I just went to Mojave last month. Despite that, my System Preferences icon in my dock maintains the little RED number 1. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I'll upgrade when I'm good and ready. Thanks for any help. Yes, it's a first world problem but aren't they all?

defaults delete com.apple.systempreferences AttentionPrefBundleIDs; killall Dock
