I plan to buy a MBA in the coming months and have a question. I want to reinstall the system to clear up some space by removing extra languages, printer drives, etc. I also plan to have Office 11 preinstalled. Will it come on the USB thumbdrive provided to do a system reinstall or will I lose it entirely and waste $120 if I wipe the drive clean and reinstall?

It will likely come with a CD/DVD, so you'd have to use another computer to either install over the network, or make your own thumb drive. You can also download the software off of Microsoft's website as a trial, then use your key to make it a full version.

I'm not sure I read your answer correctly...So if I have it preinstalled when I order the MBA on the online Apple Store and then delete it, I can always reinstall it from the Windows site using my product key?
