There isn't one. You don't really need one on OS X.
That's fair. But what happen you mess up it one day and feel like turning back the clock. Anyway, maybe I'll look at superduper (as suggested by Applespider. Thanks folks!

I'll just respond to your question with another question. What have you broken? :p
Nope I have broken anything yet now or simply being paranoid for that matter.
Just that the other day when I upgraded to iTunes 5.0.1, I hope that I hadn't done that. (I messed up my music library but then again I imported them back from my iPod; solved :D)

edit: I was back to iTunes 4.9 anyway.

I also ran the upgrade to iTunes 5.0.1 and after that iTunes kept crashing as soon as it launched. It happened in every account I had so I ended up doing an archive and install and then it worked with iTunes 5.0. So I'm sticking with iTunes 5.0. Then I also had to reimport my iTunes library.

If you ever need to do a full restore, then you can just use the restore CD's or DVD's that came with your Mac to put it back to the way it first came out of the box. I know thats not quite the same as the Windows one, but its the closest thing to it.

What about when Apple release broken updates?

I do wish you could uninstall OS X updates. That is something I think Apple needs to work on. You shouldn't have to reinstall your OS just because of an update that didn't work well with your particular setup.

Quite close. But still wishing that it could be restored to specific date. Anyway, thanks mklos :)

You could back up to an image periodically using Disk Utility. You'll just need a external source to back up to. It will create a .dmg file in which you can restore your HD to. Its kinda like Ghost for PCs built into OS X with limited features. Still not as easy as the restore feature in Windows, but its another option.
