System Sounds

You would think that by the 8th iteration of OS X we would have some new, more modern system sounds. The current alert sounds kinda suck; I wish they would have provided some news sounds with ML, especially the new mail alert sound.

I know I can add my own, but I don't know where to find them.

do you mean dont know where to find sound files online or where to find them on your mac?

Every month, I get a popular Mac magazine...On the DVD, every single month are 1000+ boings, dings, hip hop, rock etc. etc. sound clips which can be used for just this purpose. Why waste time adding in stuff that is freely available and is personal to the individual concerned? I use the default sounds for just about everything....But if I ever want to choose, I have all the files in the world to choose from!

You don't understand branding.

Those sounds are there for the world to hear and identify with OSX/Apple.
