Not sure why but since I have updated to iOS 12 my system storage usage is around 16GB and seems to be growing daily. Never had it this high on iOS 10 and 11 betas. Wondering if anyone else running into this ?

Just noticed it on my test iPhone 5s. Totally filled it up (it is 16gb). Had to reset to factory default to get space back. Tested all my main apps and they work fine - I noticed that as I deleted them the system storage went up - maybe caching?

My system and “other”, which could include system, are taking up about half my storage.

64gbs is surprisingly not enough to freely record a decent amount of videos and take raw pics.

If you are using the Apple TV app, there is a bug that keeps it from flushing its cache. This is probably due to serve bandwidth issues so that users who pause or rewatch content don’t consume GBs of data for the same show or movie.

Deleting the TV app will free up a ton of space, if you stream a lot of content.

The same bug effects Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google Drive, etc. So try deleting and reinstalling those kinds of apps as well.
