This is sort of weird, my time keeps changing. For example, it says its "5 am" when its really 3pm. I can set it again, and after a restart or long shutdown its messed again. I have windows on here as well, and the time in that, too, is messed up - so I don't think its an OS problem.

Could this be due to a drained CMOS battery? I heard that usually the case. But my macbook is new...Anyone else have this problem?

This is on a MacBook Santa Rosa - 1 month old.

Edit: this is only a problem when im not connected to the internet, as the clock sets itsself through time.apple.com
Edit 2: I read that this is a problem from bootcamp - when you boot into windows it doesnt "count" the time apparently?

Acturely, it is because of WINDOWS!!

Hi,

This problem appears because windows uses GMT and Mac OS uses local time, IIRC. A workaround is to set your local time to GMT (London) in Windows.

Cheers!
Glen
