Guys the whole network speed debate is all dependent on where you are when running the test. In my area of Bklyn my speeds are all pretty High on at&t, but in other areas they may get cut in half, all really depends on location

However I'd still take at&t over VZW anywhere in NYC...as soon as you walk into a building of some sorts say goodbye to those 3 letters spelling LTE...

My speeds in bklyn are pretty much as follows, sometimes even higher then my VZW wifi.

some really good speed with HSPA+ and LTE

so if you live and work in the city, T-Mobile might be a great choice considering their prices.

on my new T-mobile iPhone 5, I get about 8 megs down and 2 up in downtown Sacramento, but nearly no signal over in Land Park (i'm lucky if speedtest finds a place to send the test)

Anyone have the link to that site where users were reporting sightings of Tmobile LTE? It's similar to airportal.de except for it's LTE sightings.

New tmobile iPhone 5 in Houston, but have
Hspa+ average between 2- 15 Mbps.

Some recent speeds tests. I'm loving being back on T-Mobile after all these years with AT&T.

Above was 4G. Below is LTE:D.

I am using a prepaid nano sim. 100 min/unl txt/5GB data.

Where are you?

----------

It's bc you are using a 4S. I know NYC has been refarmed to have 1900 3G service but its probably very spotty, hence why you fluctuate between E and 3G.

I had the old 5 and even though I live in an area that had been refarmed the 4g signal was so inconsistent that's why I sold it and bought the new tweaked 5 today.

The 4S does not support the AWS 1700/2100 faux 4g, only the new GSM iPhone 5 released today does.

It is so nice to have an iPhone that has a consistent "4G" signal, thank you T Mobile!!
I am in Brooklyn and I have an unlocked iPhone 5. I switched to T-Mobile. I get 4G pretty stable in Brooklyn. I work in midtown Manhattan. Outside I get stable 4G but in doors my signal drops to Edge. But I also got horrible AT&T signal strength inside my work as well.

Nyc
Why so low? :(

I got 15mbs+ on gs2
Are your speed tests an unlocked AT&T iPhone 5 on T-Mobile or an official T-Mobile iPhone 5?

we are talking about t-mobile speeds :)

I decided to give Tmobile a shot on the iphone5, here's what I'm getting near my house.
Wow....not very good! I heard people were seeing much better speeds in Bay Ridge, I wonder if my phone is a lemon?

not the iPhone's fault, if your carrier is junk.

There have been reports of defective iPhones on tmobile that getting very low data speeds. I can attest to this. If another tmobile phone in the same location is getting good speeds, then I would try and get a replacement. Yes tmobile is known to suck in some locations, but plz don't automatically blame the carrier without properly troubleshooting.

I agree...that's a pretty dopey statement, especially given that people are seeing some really great speeds in and around NYC.

I just did a swap..we'll see how this one is

Guess it wasn't the network after all. Just wait until you try HD Voice. It's crazy how clear it sounds. Almost like the person is standing in the room next to you.

Yea my brother is switching over from at&t later today and a few of my workers are switching over this week...So all in all I'll have quite a few people rolling with HD voice. Once LTE is launched in NYC I will be a very happy camper.

Well just got back to my neck of the woods, and these are the speeds I'm seeing with my new iphone 5 on Tmobile...Not bad I must say!

Can anyone in the Lehigh Valley area (Bethlehem, Allentown, Easton) in Pennsylvania post their HSPA+/LTE speeds? I'm thinking about switching but I'm not so sure
