What exact plan did you activate in order to get the 200 rebate?

when I go to add a plan on the iPad, I get 3 choices and adding a new plan is not available; only pre-paid and add a line.
I had called T-Mobile prior to getting the iPad and was told I could add a new plan.

I believe the requirement for T-Mobile is a 10GB or greater plan on a new line. Although I’m not doing this promotion, I recently got a cellular iPad Air 4 (but not from Apple), and added a new line to my existing T-Mobile account and chose an unlimited plan for that line. The iPad gets its own phone number so it has to be a new line even though it’s on your same account.

Buy an iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular from Apple. Get $200 back from T-Mobile/Sprint. **

Tell me about the deal.
For a limited time, buy an iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular directly from Apple and get a $200 virtual prepaid MasterCard® after you activate your new iPad on an eligible T-Mobile or Sprint data plan.
How do I get it?
Buy an iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular directly from Apple (pay in full or pay monthly with Apple Card Monthly Installments). Within 90 days of placing your order, activate an eligible 10GB (or larger) data plan with T-Mobile/Sprint and complete the promotional application at promotions.t-mobile.com.
You'll receive an email with next steps after you buy your iPad.
How and when will I receive the $200?
Once you’ve completed all steps and your eligibility has been processed, you’ll receive a $200 virtual prepaid MasterCard® gift card within six to eight weeks.

It wont allow a new plan activation from the iPad Pro …looks like only “add a line” is available with an existing phone number.

I added the $20 Magenta plan since I'm already a customer. My rebate is still pending.
I did the same thing last month and I just checked the status of my rebate on the Tmobile website. It says the status is "received". Does yours say the same thing or something else?

More tries; T mobile sales doesn’t understand, apple instructions don’t work. Cannot activate from iPad Pro.
what a rat ****; seems impossible to add a new data plan.

Yes, Normally they will say that for a month or two. Tmobile wants to get some of that money from the cellular plan before they pay out because they know most people will cancel after they get the rebate. ATT is the worst at that type or stuff.

One has to go to T-Mobile store for activation of a new account. Then 30 activation fee plus 10 simcard. 10gb for 30.
I wanted e-sim but nooo, only SIM card.

Hi, I just activated T-mobile $30 prepaid monthly plan on the new iPad Pro. I registered on T-mobile account using my e-mail address instead of phone number (since I'm not a current T-mobile phone customer). However, when i go to http://promotions.t-mobile.com/, it's asking for T-Mobile phone number in order to begin submit rebate. Does anyone know how I can go about submitting rebate with e-mail address instead? Thank you.

Settings - General - About should show you the phone number for the iPad. They should have emailed you that info as well when you first activated.

You are out of luck unless you go to a T-Mobile corporate store and find someone who is willing to help you. I was only partially successful but it was as if they never tell any of tthe help staff about potential problems. The ID and verification will require a TMobile ph numberphone number. You cabn get an account online but just wait until they want a text message PIN sent back to them….you cant with the ph number assigned your Ipad for data, as they want a T-Mobile mobile ph number to send the ID verification to. UNless this has been addressed in the last several weeks, the only way around it is to go to the store and hope someone will use one of their store phones to set everything up. At least, this is the way it was with the postpaid account. I never could get the system to approve my refund and I finally gave up, after speaking for many hours with their alledged “help” department - which is what they hope you will do. But if you have 5g signal, this thing is fast with TMobile.

Thanks, I used that number for submission but keep getting
'Oops! Something went wrong.' error, maybe it's taking some time to process the number? I'll try again tomorrow. Thank you.

I reached out to T-Mobile support and was told prepaid line doesn’t qualify for the rebate. Can anyone confirm that is the case? We have to sign up post-paid line and going through credit check? How do people can sign up, get rebate and cancel the line then? I’m very confused.

Yes, postpaid only. This is easier for those already on T-Mobile as their cellphone carrier. Just add a line then cancel when they get the rebate.

New customers, doesn't seem like it's worth all the hassle.

Ahhhhh this really sox! I thought I could’ve just signed up prepaid and get the rebate. Wish Apple website is more clear otherwise i wouldn’t have upgraded from 2018 pro. Thanks for the confirmation.
