I switched to T-Mobile from Verizon a couple of months ago. I have not noticed one change in coverage yet.
My son has a Verizon iphone 6s plus and we compare signal all the time to get bragging rights. FWIW the coverage comes out about even. Plus with roll over data plans i am glad i switched.

There are huge gaps; compare vzw to tmo coverage places I've been recently.

1. West on interstate 8 from Gila bend.
2. South on pch route 1 from big sur.

If tmo works for you great, you should do it. Unlimited, good price etc.
 
In Sept, I switched from Att to t-mobile and am very happy with the coverage. I live in Minnesota, so far, coverage has been excellent. If I go a lot farther north, it probably isn't as good (from friends' accounts).

Along with excellent coverage, t-mobile offers free music streaming and free video streaming (Netflix, Hulu, etc...). Plus, for the next three months, they are giving many customers (I don't know the plan requirements) unlimited data; this doesn't count with tethering.

Also, my download speeds are more than double than they were with att.

Very happy I switched:D
 
I'm a Verizon customer but can vouch for Tmobile's awesome LTE service via the Ultimate Test Drive. Too bad Google didn't partner with Verizon instead of Sprint to go with Tmobile for its Google Fi service. Sprint was terrible when I had it and sounds like it still is.
 
I'd still be with T-Mobile if they didn't have horrible service in Eastern Washington. I moved over to Cricket Wireless (AT&T based) and am truly happy with the coverage and the prices.

image.jpeg T mobile may have excellent customer and a fast Lte network due to a lesser amount of subscribers than the others, and great customer service as noted by CR but they still have a way to go. This from root metrics and Jd power makes an observation on their 2015 wireless study.

Google Fi uses both T-Mo and Sprint.
 
Has Tmobiles building penetration improved? I had issues inside a hospital where my ATT got full signal, but Tmobile got 5 bars at the door, but 0 bars in my office. I know now we have wifi calling and all, but I'd still like to get a native signal just in case.

That's where TMo 700 MHz band 12 roll out will benefit.

I'm in a major market area, where they started rolling it out 700mhz months ago. I guess it all depends on where you live and if you have the correct phone that supports it. I finally can get service inside my building were before I'd be lucky to get 1 bar of edge in my apartment. However, even though I get full LTE status indoors, I only get 3G speeds on the 700mhz network.
 
I'd enjoy migrating to T-Mobile for the savings I would enjoy.
After a one year test alongside of AT&T, T-Mobile has it all... except for the consistent, clear, voice quality and signal strength. They're close, but just not there in the areas that matter to me.
 
T-Mobile is fantastic in areas where they have coverage, awesome speeds too. The problem is you can very quickly go from great service to no service, especially as you get out of the metro areas or travel a few miles away from the interstate.
