Documenting the process to activate new SIM card:

1. Log in to t-mobile.com
2. Account > Lines and Devices > Select your phone line
3. Change SIM
4. When it asks for SIM Card number, you don't have to take out the SIM. Settings > General > About > ICCID number

Took a couple minutes for it to switch over. Happy iPhone'ing, everyone :)

Here we go again. Strap in boys and girls. Get ready for:
  • Rep misinformation on JOD pricing (Am I in the Super premium platinum credit tier or the peasant tier?)
  • Waking up at 3:00am Eastern and talking to a rep who barely knew the phone was releasing
  • Rep misinformation on shipping times (don’t forget to get it overnighted for free)
  • Checking the shipping status every minute (label created?!!? Origin scan!)
  • Trying to guess when each batch flies in from China to Alaska to Kentucky
  • Learning about Shipper/Delivery logistics (X pallets + Impatience - time = iPhone 12 to my home)
  • Getting upset when people who order Saturday afternoon get it the same day or sooner than you
  • Forgetting about this thread once your phone is delivered
With that said, I’m getting ready for that iPhone 12 Pro Max in Blue, BABY!

Just shows "order processed.." Looking at the flight manifest, there is another flight leaving Incheon in 13 hours, Im guessing they will be on that flight.

For those new to the game, the Flight Aware system referenced can be seen here: https://flightaware.com/live/iphone

The planes noted leave China loaded down with iPhones, and take a nice hop up to Anchorage Alaska to refuel, before heading down to Louisville, KY where they will all sit (yes, even those who have delivery dates noted! You're not getting left out if you have tracking but no delivery day---or honestly even if you don't have tracking just yet). They'll stay down there until they go out overnight from Louisville to your homes and businesses to be delivered on Friday. It is NOT unusual to have no charge, tracking information, or status change in T-Mobile's order status or My T-Mobile systems and STILL get your phone on launch day. Both the unexpected joy of an unexpected delivery turned disappointment when the phones don't actually arrive until Friday, and the converse sadness turned to joy when they appear they aren't going to make it and then they do are about to wash over all of us. It happens every year!

Everyone waiting to see if their card is charged is wasting your time. Your phone will arrive Friday so go ahead and get on with your life and post photos of your new phones on Friday.

That’s disingenuous. It’s not like it’s an obsessive checking. It’s a fun way to pass the time and to participate every couple hours and post your progress... it’s become a bit of a tradition. You’re more than welcome to not participate if you think it’s “wasting your time.”

We’re all adults and can manage how we spend our time and what we choose to do.

That being said, the part about the phones arriving on Friday is usually true, despite a 10/24-11/2 shipping window, as it has been in years past.

T-Mobile uses second day air so I would say most of us who are actually getting their phones Friday should only start to worry if there are no charges by tomorrow. Very last hope would be Thursday with a spontaneous upgrade to Next Day Air...
