I don't think I really ever noticed this until recently, but I have been having issues with my iPhone 14 Pro and my T-Mobile services in MD. I spoke to T-Mobile and they informed me it was due to congestion in my area, and that could be the reason why my phone shows full bars, but the internet or GPS is still slow.

I have been watching this carefully and comparing my phone to others who are also on the T-Mobile network and notice that different spots, phones like the iPhone 13 Mini or the iPhone 13 Pro outperform my phone.

On one occasion, the 13 Pro, had 335.35 download speeds while my 14 Pro hit 56.64.

With that said, I set an appointment with someone at the Genius Bar tomorrow, just curious if others out there have experienced something similar.

Last year, Apple replaced the logic board under warranty in my iPhone 13 Pro because the radios got slower and slower until one day they wouldn’t connect to the cell towers at all (T-Mobile). The Genius Bar is able to pull logs and they have a box that tests radio connection/performance. They saw tons of packet loss and failures. The point being, sometimes these radios just die for some unclear reason.

I can’t say if it’ll be the same for you, just that it could be a random failure like I had. The best part of them replacing the logic board was that it also meant a fresh battery too.

Thank you very much for the reply.

So, as expected there was something wrong with my phone. They did not have the part in hand, so I have to go back for repair when it arrives.
