From 9to5Mac

It's all about profits in the end.

It's from 9to5Mac, who's side do you expect them to take? This is about companies looking out for themselves. Why would T-Mobile help Apple to ban their Samsung products, especially when they don't even sell Apples product? Have the writers of that article considered that maybe they genuinely support Samsung in this issue and feel that Apple's case is unjustified?

The fact that Apple is even trying to have them banned is despicable, but that's a matter for another thread.

That matter is the whole point. T-Mobile and Verizon have taken clear stances on the grounds that their own business will be hurt, not moral grounds that Samsung is right and they want to defend them.

I'm not naive. I know business is business. It's just interesting to see such clear cut signs of what the world is all about.

I'd almost rather they defend Samsung and publicly state it's for the moral reasons, and backhandedly mean to defend their own products, sales and developing technologies.

But! I'll be nothing but honest and admit I'd be the first one to come here grumbling that I'd rather they were just honest about it.

I'm such a schmuck. :D

Haha, I'd probably do the same. Either way, I just don't like the fact that Apple is trying to have products banned rather than just competing.

I am willing to bet we will see AT&T follow suit with the same type of statement soon as well along with Sprint. They are going to make their stance. AT&T carriers some samsung phones and I know they are going to have more in their line up.

Well yeah, now it's going to be the "in" thing to get behind Samsung. It serves so many fantastic purposes for a company getting behind them. You look like the guy that backs the underdog, you're standing up to Apple (and we all know everyone loves Apple but looks at them like a bully on the playground) and it protects your own business while playig nice with your competition by sort of saying, "Hey! What Apple is doing is uncool. I'm with YOU!" *pat on the back*

Yuck...

Carriers in the U.S. do much worse than this. Who cares if T-Mobile doesn't side with apple. Does this even surprise anyone, i mean, apple hasn't been too nice to T-Mobile, who has openly said that they want the iPhone on their network, but apple is refusing to give it to them. Don't get so worked up about T-Mobile wanting to make profits, when there's this whole list of sucky things carriers do

I'm willing to say that AT&T will stay out of it. Staying neutral and not picking sides is the best thing to do when both companies combined make up an overwhelming majority of your sales.

True. Att will probably not help either and sprint won't say anything because they are stoked about getting the iPhone next week or the week after.

If I were Sprint, I would side with Samsung. Chances are, Spring has a lot of Samsung product, where as they're legally obligated to get x units of iPhone 5 from Apple. And I'd be pretty ticked for having to wait 4 years for an iPhone.
