I'm a long term ATT customer. I use appx 17gb data per month and pay for 3 phones.
Yesterday's snail mail brought a promotion from T-Mo for unlimited talk + text + data for 4 phones for 100 dollars per month. Total.
Since that would save me substantial cash monthly I proceeded to read the fine print.
The catch here is quite plain. Only the first gb of data is high speed.
So the other 14 gb that I use will be unlimited but throttled. I wonder how throttled? Anyone out there with any insight?

I have exactly that plan and never notice the slowdown. If you do a lot of music streaming realize that T-Mobile excludes that from your data total for most of the popular streaming apps. Also I have 2.5GB until sometime next year as a promotion - ask for that. At&t cannot come anywhere close to T-Mobile on price but be sure that signal is good in your area. Also this is a no-contract price so there are no phone subsidies. Extra lines are $10 and there are no smartphone fees.

Very cool. I've got to test somehow, but saving almost 200 per month is something I need to look into.
Thank you for your reply.
