iv searched and havent found a good answer to this. i know people have unlocked and used t-mobile on 2g iphones, but i was wondering if anyone have got t-mobile to work on 3g iphones? and if so do you think it could work on the 3g S?

I heard tmobile's 3g network is on a different frequency than at&t's 3g network. So I'm guessing you cant use a at&t iphone on tmobile's 3g network. correct me if i'm wrong.

You should be able to use an iPhone 3G (and presumably the 3GS once it is unlockable) on T-Mobile, however because T-Mobile uses different frequencies for their 3G network, only EDGE will work.

Yes, you can use the iPhone 3G on T-Mobile, but won't get 3G speeds. You'll still get the GPS feature, (possibly MMS, depending on how T-Mobile works on it) so if you don't need location the original one should still do just fine. :)
