My partner and I unlocked and switched over to T-Mobile last week. As was suggested on this forum, we went to a T-Mobile store and told them we needed two sim cards with talk, text, and the $10 unlimited internet for our Motorola Razrs that we had charging at home. After a few successful days, my partner suddenly was unable to send or receive calls. (When someone calls him, we get a message that says "all circuits are busy" even though he has 5 bars and his phone is right next to mine which has no issues). It happened a couple of days ago and we called T-Mobile support and they weren't able to fix it, but then the next day it was fine. Now he is having the problem again. When dealing with T-Mobile support we are running into an issue by insisting that the phone is a Motorola Razr with the fear that if we admit it is an iPhone they will tack on that extra $25 or $30 package that we supposedly don't need. But with this last call to T-Mobile support they started getting into instructions specific to the Razr including wanting a number off the back. Should we go ahead and fess up that we are using the sim card in an iPhone?

They already know. As soon as you turn a phone on on their network they know the model of it. No point in lying to them...

The last guy said "Hmmm, it's a Razr we're dealing with? I can't see from here, but it looks like there has been some sort of PDA action on it."

They don't care. At all. As long as they have the business. Go ahead and tell them and get the support you need.

T-Mob has dedicated iPhone support who know how to get the devices working on their network. It's to their benefit to get money from you. They want you.
