I hung up a little while ago talking with a TMO customer service person. I'm about to buy my son a phone and I mentioned that I might just port his number over to ATT to get him an iPhone. The guys said, "Apple signed a one year exclusiviity with ATT. This summer, TMO will have the iPhone as well. If you can just wait a few more months..."

This might be BS, old news or just interesting. I really like Tmobile. I'd rather not leave as I really detest ATT.

weird,

The news say that Apple signed a 5 year contract WITH att.

I wouldnt mind purchasing an iPhone with tmobile service since i do hear that they do have a 20 dollars a month data only plan.

I struggled with this decision as well. I wanted to have the iphone as a second phone while maintaining my blackberry on tmobile.

In the end, I wasn't going to take on a new contract, forego my company's reimbursement, and give up the exceptional tmobile CS. I elected to unlock a phone. Im running 1.1.1 and have no regrets. I still use my BB for real work, but the iphone is good for a lot of trivial social stuff.

t mobile said the same thing to me

i called t-mobile about an upgrade an they told me the exact same thing, to wait two months until the agreement with att is done. they said i could get my iphone in july just keep checking the website

iPhone coming to T-Mobile August-September!!!!

I was fed up with my old Blackberry and was already planning to get an iPhone later this fall, but I called yesterday to find out what I need to do to transfer and get an iPhone now. When I told her why I was switching, she told me the same thing the other posts have said, keep checking the website; it's coming out around the end of August and that they are getting it. She also told me that it's better than the current model that was just released, so maybe there is an additional model that will be available that tMobile will carry (32GB?). I'm going to go ahead and wait, since Apple does releases newer updates to products in the fall. Especially, since the sales rep was assured that they have it and that everyone at TMobile has been very excited about it.

I also heard that Flash is coming to the iPhone soon! That they have it running currently in beta testing. Finally!

Lastly, Miniot has released the 3G iphone Wood covers!!! These are sweet: see link: https://www.miniot.com

Can anyone confirm that? Also if this is true what are the odds that i can use my current IPhone 3G with T-Mobile.

wow. I'm pretty sure those people are telling you guys complete BS. The only possible thing I can think of is that apple comes out with a totally different phone that would be for t-mobile as well but I don't see this iPhone being available for t-mobile for a long time.

PS. I just switched from tmobile for the iPhone 3g.

ah well i can always unlock it if needed when that time comes or stick with prepaid pay as you go ATT sim cards lawl.

I am running an iPhone 2G unlocked on T-Mobile, works great. Pay $20 a month for the "total internet" package. Everything works: web, email, youtube, maps, etc.. When I called I told them I had a hacked iPhone and they told me what plan to get. They didn't even hesitate when I said that lol. BTW you can actually put the $5.99 a month "T-Zones" plan on your account and use that for your internet connection and save $14/month! Just don't tell them its for an iPhone. There's a hack you can install from Cydia (thats an app on jailbroken/unlocked phones that installs programs) that makes it work, I use that on another iPhone I have for a family member. Sure beats having to use AT&T.

I have had more dropped calls with my iphone 3g on ATT in a couple of weeks than I had in four years with Tmobile. I can't blame this on the phone, it's the network. More bars in more places, just not the ones I live in. My single biggest complaint with the switch.

Hi

T-Mobile few I used to have Vz switched to att for iphone, if T-Mobile picks up iphone I will make the switch to them. :)
