Did anyone just get a text from T-Mobile welcoming you to their service along with your new mobile number?

I guess the rumor about AT&T Exclusiveness expiring and T-Mobile being the first to pickup iPhone is true.. An hour ahead of schedule.. Ha.

Ya got me. Why would I get the message from T-Mobile if I'm on AT&T?

Maybe it's not really from T-Mobile..

I just got a message from someone or something claiming that I started a tmobile plan with my iphone.. I'm gonna call the number they sent me in a second..

Wait, so you're saying T-Mobile is now poaching AT&T customers by pretending you just setup an account with them? Sounds awfully weird to me. We'll see in about an hour.

go ahead and call, i bet the number is set up in the boonies and will cost you an arm and a leg on your phone bill

Sounds weird to me too.. The number isnt a remote location, it's a 347 number.. Which is right here in NY.

I'd be wary. It makes no sense for a company like T-Mobile to pretend to welcome customers on another network. People will know, soon enough, if AT&T has lost its exclusivity. If it's just T-Mobile that gets it, it makes little sense to switch considering how small their 3G network is. We'll see. I'm beginning to think that the iPhone will not be covered, as an announcement like this will overshadow the Tablet. Instead, I think the Tablet will use AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile for data.
