Samsung T7 Touch? They are still available in the US on Amazon....
I think a lot of people preferred just to purchase and use the regular version of a T7, which does the same thing without needing the gimmickry of the touch feature.
Samsung has in the meantime come out with another version of the T7, a rugged one, which again will meet the needs of some prospective customers but it is not unlikely that the majority might still prefer the straightforward regular versions.
All that aside, yes, I do use Samsung and also SanDisk and other brands of external SSDs as archival backups and as what I call "supplemental" drives which keep more current image files quickly and readily available while not right on my machine's internal SSD. They are invaluable as a resource for protecting one's important personal data and also photographic data.
