As I was reviewing some of the rumors for 10.9, and going back over the new features in 10.8, I happened to come across tab view, which I've never used, except by accident.

I was wondering -- does anyone actually use this feature? It just seems like more work than simply clicking each tab to see what is in it (or better yet hovering above it as in Windows).

I personally think it is as useless eye candy as launchpad.

It looks nice but yeah it's not very efficient and pretty useless

However I use launchpad quite often, I think that's pretty handy

I wouldn't call it useless. Sometimes it is nice to quickly zoom out/flick to the left and glance at the tab and flick back without moving my cursor.

It also doesn't set off any JavaScript idle timers if you flick with tab view, so it's great for previewing what's happening in a tab.

I also use Launchpad frequently.
