CES 2014 was great and a success for tablets we seen the likes of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro line and new Lenovo Yoga tablet and lots more. :)

Now CES 2015 just around the corner I really hope Samsung will announce the new models of there Tab Pro line or new tablets and i am expecting there will be new Windows 8 tablets with M core CPU like the new Dell Venue Pro 11.

And lastly i expect there will be more 8/9 inch tablets at CES 2015 i really like that tablet size it is the sweat spot for tablets! :)

So everyone what are YOU expecting at CES 2015 for tablets?
Do you think CES 2015 Will be as good as CES 2014 for tablets?

About a dozen Samsung tablets of varying shapes, sizes with Tab, S, Pro, Note, etc monikers that in truth aren't all that different save for a stylus here, a minor spec there. ;)

Obviously my tongue is planted firmly in my cheek but in all seriousness, I gave up trying to decipher Samsung's tablet lines a while ago.

Samsung can launch all the tablets they want, as long as one of them is a new Note based on the Tab S 8.4. That is the one device I have planted firmly on my wish list now that I've gone iPhone 6+ instead of Note 4.

More of a hope than an expectation though.

4gb of RAM, 64 bit processors, dedicated graphics, more integration between Chrome and Android, boom sound speakers standard, higher res front facing cameras, SD card slots return as standard for expandable memory and quantum dot matrix displays.

Thinner, big specs, more keyboards as part of the experience, Chrome OS blending, and an encroachment on the surface style of experience.

In terms of hardware, my favourite aspect of iPhone/iPad not widely available on Android devices is Touch ID.

I hope high quality fingerprint tech starts getting added to more Android devices.

I would love to see that as well.

and quantum dot matrix displays.

What? There is no such thing. Sounds like, you've had buzzword overload and conflated qd backlit/filtered LCD with old school dot matrix printers.

There is not even such a thing as a qd display, much less a qd dot matrix display.

Thanks for the link to a theoretical product that doesn't exist, that no one has built manufacturing facilities to produce and that no one has plans to produce. As I said there is no such thing as a qd display.

In case you were confused about the threads title, it is what we 'expect' to see or 'may' see. Things like roll up displays have been seen in the past. Who is to say we won't see this tech at CES? You? LOL.

Roll up displays will be OLED.

A show of tablets running Snapdragon 810, at least one with a 4K display to trump the spec wars.

Agree! that would be great to see tablets with Snapdragon 810 CPU at CES 2015. :)

But i don't see the Snapdragon 810 being that better or that much more powerful than the Snapdragon 800 in the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4.

I don't get why they make a new Snapdragon(810) CPU Because The Snapdragon 800 is already a powerbeast and powerful and fast enough and even for heavy demanding tasks like video editing.

So What is the diffrence between Snapdragon 800 and the new Snapdragon 810? i know there is 64bit but does that make a big diffrence? I really don't think so....

Alas, I am really not expecting much.

I do believe that Samsung will thin down their crazy numbers of tablets to a few (that would be smart). I suspect that people are still driving on the thinner and lighter bandwagon, 64bit and 2k screens. However, I believe that technology at present doesn't allow for any really cool innovations at present.

So I expect to see more spec bumps on screens, newer chipsets to manage the power for it and perhaps better battery tech.

I want a squared tv form factor as tablet
6/7 inches
I think manufacturers are struggling to make innovations but they take no risk at all

New form factor please

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
We will see more bigger tablets of 12" or so, more waterproofed tablets also I think, snapdragon 810 CPU's with up to 4GB RAM, more devices with SD slots, also will see more tablets with Intel CPU's I think.

Personally couldn't care less what Samsung does as it's the same old, but will be interested to see if Sony launch a bigger tablet and if HTC launch a non Nexus one, should also see more of Nokia's tablet too.
