iPhone Tabs in iOS12 Flickering?

when i open a new tab in safari there's this weird flickering or shadowing on the display. is that normal? happens on an xs max but not in ios 11 in a 7 plus.

any help is appreciated.

Been noticing something similar on my iPhone 7. Probably just a change in iOS 12 (or a glitch perhaps).
