How do people tag a file that is 4 plus gigs? I am running XP Pro with the latest updates. I've tried using the java app "Tagger" and the Windows version of MetaX. Both just error out on me. I can tag SD movies (movies less than 4 GB) with no problems.

Jus trying to get some suggestions on how to tag these bigger files.

There is an option in MetaX (on mac) to support files greater than 4gb. Something with 64bits I think.

Yeah...I don't see that option on the Windows one. Thanks though. Maybe I'll write the author and see if he can implement it.

Can't you just do it in iTunes? Not as automated as MetaX, but better than nothing

Well that certainly is a possibility and will be the route I will have to go it seems, but here's the problem. iTunes does not embed this information into the file itself. So if I choose to transfer this file to another PC, no tag information is preserved.

That's not true. iTunes writes tag info into the media files, just like any third party tagging program.

No... It definitely does it for TV shows too. I tag stuff with iTunes if I noticed I screwed up with a 3rd party program and it writes the new tags to the files as I use them on other computers and the info is still there.

I just tested it out. Added a video file without tags to itunes. Added some tags to it (including setting type to TV show). Removed the file, added it again... and the type is gone. The other tags seems to stick. Sorry about that. :)

I'm gonna try it with House of Saddam episodes after it finishes encoding. I'll let everyone know my results...
