I just jailbroke a few days ago and have this update available. I'm on iP6S 9.0.2 and wouldn't mind this update to just go away haha. So I'm not sure if I would be fine updating the file or just ignoring right now. Thanks for the help!

I believe my phone came with version 9 and I updated via iTunes to 9.0.2. It was the first time I've jailbroke this phone...considering I received the phone 2 days ago.

I just thought it was weird to have this update when I've been running ios9 from the get go

You should fully restore to 9.0.2 and then JB it. You believe but don't really know how it got to ios9.
Updated images via itunes or OTA installs are not stable and should be avoided.
Im JB on ios 9.0.2 and do not have the old Taig ios 8 exploit installed. You phone does cause it wasn't fully restored properly to get to 9.0.2
It was JB on ios 8 before and whoever sold it to you did not fully restore it and gave it to you like this.

I bought this phone brand new. And was shipped directly to me. Never had iOS8 on it. I'll fully restore again. Just wanted to check if anyone has experienced this update before.

That doesn't make much sense.
What is the old Taig ios 8 JB exploit doing there then?
That package does not get installed with the Pangu JB for ios 9.
Just restore it to be safe and setup as new.
Maybe something to do with an old JB backup that you restored to this phone carried over.
This is not normal and people on JB ios 9 should NOT experience that. That can cause issues.

Found the issue. I restored and re-jb...went to add my first source within Cydia (http://apt.xmodgame.com/) and it automatically said I had the update I was questioning. I removed the source and it disappeared. Odd indeed.
