This issue seems to keep coming up. How can I disturb myself when I want to...

There are plenty of reminder apps, medication apps, alarm apps...

But I can't seem to find any that can remind me night and day with "do not disturb" on.

I need to take a medication every 3 hours, night and day. I want "do not disturb" on. I have heard the recommendations about making a silent ring tone, and silent text tone, etc, and disable do not disturb, but the real solution seems so simple.

Does anyone know if any way to receive a reminder every 3 hours, night an day, with do not disturb on?

An alarm will get through DND so perhaps setting up repeating alarms might be one solution. DND can also be set up to let some calls through, so another possibility might be to use some sort of a reminder/alarm service that would make calls and set it up so that calls from that service would always get through even when DND is enabled.

Simple, set timer for 3 hours. When it goes off take a tablet and then start the timer again. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. I used an app called PillReminder to make a reminder with a 3 hour interval that worked during the day. Then for the night time with DND on, I used the stock alarm app with 4 alarms created.

I was hoping there would be an alarm app that works thru DND where you could set an interval for repeating reminders. But the above solution works albeit a bit kludgy. Also, in the middle of the night, half-asleep, the simpler the action the better. There is no way I could reliably set a timer and re-set a timer while I was mostly asleep.
