Does anyone know what button you press to take a pic of your desktop with its background? Then save it. Thanks
 
can somebody tell me how 2 take a lower resolution screenshot then your desktop?

Just from memory as I'm here at work on my Windows machine it is

command-shift-4

That will give you the ability to pick just what you want.

command-shift-4-spacebar

That gives you a camera to pick which window to take a pic of.

DUDE! this is my freakin' fav part of os x so far!! way more versatile than windows.

command + shift + 3 = screen shot of entire desktop; file goes to your desktop

command + shift + 4 = ss of what you select yourself; files goes to desktop

command + shift + 4 + spacebar = ss of whatever active screen you select; file goes to desktop

command + shift + ctrl +3 = ss of entire desktop; file goes to Clipboard only

command + shift + ctrl + 4 = ss of what you select yourself; file goes to Clipboard only

command + shift + ctrl + 4 + spacebar = ss of whatever active screen you select; file goes to Clipboard only

command + shift + enter + h + o + t + ctrl + 4 = hot blonde knocks on you front door....go answer.
 
thankyou...i just posted a pic of my desktop on that question...very cool...i cldn't before because of the large file size
